To disinfect hairdressing or barbering scissors using Barbicide, the scissors should first be cleaned of any hair or debris using a soft cloth or brush followed by a chamois leather cloth. You should clean the blades using Barbicide Surface Spray.

It’s important that you do not spray too much Barbicide around the pivot point of the scissor as this could cause the washers and screws to rust or even corrode depending on the type of steel used to manufacture your scissors. Additionally, it’s important to use Barbicide in a well-ventilated area, as the fumes can be harmful if inhaled.

Barbicide can also be used to clean and disinfect other tools used in hairdressing and barbering, such as combs, brushes, and clippers. Using a high-quality disinfectant solution like Barbicide is an important step in ensuring that hairdressing and barbering tools are kept clean and hygienic, and that the risk of infection is minimized for both the hairdresser or barber and their clients.
